Experimental Stress Analysis

Strain gauges can be used to experimentally determine the deformation of a physical part. A commonly used type of strain gauge is a thin flat resistor that is affixed to the surface of a part, and which measures the strain in a given  direction. From the measurement of strain on a surface in three directions, the stress state in the part can be calculated.

Strain gauge stress verification is commonly done during design verification load testing of overhead equipment.
We would be happy to assist you in determining the accuracy of your stress analysis (calculations) on your equipment.

Vibration Analysis

Machine vibration can be used as a tool for diagnosing problems such as failing bearings or shaft alignment issues.
